Ice Cold Grave by Charlaine Harris

In the last addition to the Harper Connelly series, Xylda Bernardo told Harper "you will be happy in the time of ice." The time of ice has come. Harper and her "sort-of" brother Trolliver head to Doraville, North Carolina on the request of a local sheriff. Within the last 5 years six boys have gone missing. All boys were old enough that the last sheriff just believed they all ran away. There is nothing similar about any of the missing boys. The last boy disappeared three months ago, his name was Jeff McGraw. His grandmother Twyla Cotton is paying for Harper to do her thing. Twyla believes that Jeff is dead and that is why she has convinced the sheriff to contact Harper. Harper has no problem finding the boys but she ends up finding more than the sheriff bargained for. Not to long after finding the grave, Harper is attacked. She will have to try to help the community in finding a serial killer, while trying to save her own life.

This addition to Harper Connelly series, is by far my favorite. This series is a bit different from some of the other mysteries I read and it is refreshing. I'm looking forward to reading the last Harper Connelly book Grave Secret.
